go to instagram.com

login

go to your profile

click edit profile

find the app and deauthorize it

change name

redownload app

you should be good to go

unfortunately, no. I know why, its because even if you change your username in edit profile you ID for your instagram doesn't change. 

You can check it for yourself using this link: http://www.otzberg.net/iguserid/ 

I cleared my saved passwords, I unauthorized all apps / extensions on instagram and I changed the username and it still didn't work. I was still blocked because this app blocks your instagram ID x
