No. For that to work, you need a modded binary file, which we don't have for 1.3.1 yet

I would go to the trash can and restore that file. Then try opening up the game to see if it loads. After that, paste and overwrite the file.

Yes. Make sure you turn on the hack under the settings tab before trying to expand. Go under the Sphere ID page. The use Control-F or Command-F and search "star of hope". You should find what you're looking for
