    I don’t know which stat is responsible for the change. Normally you’d have „Stephan“ as Heir in the family menu, using max stats changes it to „Nathan“. Screenshot This causes a progression lock close to the end of chapter 4 as the „correct“ family heir flag (player or Stephan) is needed for the Story. There is a instance before the soft-lock, where the family heir can change through the story, however using max stats after that puts Nathan as Heir again.

    I don’t know which method you used, but changing „all stats“ to max does somehow change the family heir entry. I am not knowledgeable in the field, but I‘d suggest to find the entry that defines the family heir parameter and exclude it from the maxing explicitly.

    Max stats causes a soft-lock as it puts the „wrong“ person as family heir, which prevents story progression from a certain point onwards
