I had that issue on my 4s when iOS 8 launched but I had an OTA update on it, I restored and re-jailbroke and my issues were lessened. Sometimes it fixes things sometimes it doesn't, not the first recommendation but after some trouble shooting I'd give it a try

LOL this is lame I'm stumped I can't tether jailbreak the 4s and Pangu wont let me jailbreak without actually activating its bed time

LOL this has been a nightmare...I ssh'd into the device bypassed the activation and literally JUST tether jailbroke it so I can install the untether and possibly a fix..

I've seen a lot of users with the same problem.

 

There's this hacktivation tool floating around "Doulci Activator" which supposedly activates your iPhone without the need of Apple ID & password (or something like that). I haven't used the tool myself but Google & YouTube for some extra information about it and be careful when using it.

 

I think you can still call Apple about your problem though but you might need to provide some proof of purchase or something like that.

The doulCi servers are not working @@DiDA (at least not right at this moment) I can SSH into the device AND open the file system with root access while the phone is NOT activated (no jailbreak) using a javascript....any ideas?!

hmmmm most of the download places for this seem sketchy......

   My brother-in-law bought an iPhone 4s that has traded hands a few times, the previous owner wasn't the original phone owner and did a full restore on the phone.  Apparently the first owner had an iCloud account that the iDevice was linked to. Contact to the first owner for the password/deactivation is not an option and since there is no original receipt Apple is not an option either.  Just curious if anyone has any experience or method that works before I try something crazy off youtube etc..

The device is not stolen it was sold as a paperweight by someone who knows nothing of iOS

The first one is more suitable for a profile picture.

 

The 2nd one is nice but only when it's big and zoomed in. Setting that as a profile picture makes the text unreadable

I like the second one better you just need to make avatars bigger ;P XD

Can you upload a screenshot of an installation error? Have you restarted your iDevice since the jailbreak or initial installation?  Have you tried to delete and re add non working sources?

but appcake is even empty and all these sources work fine on my 8.1 pangu

@@DocIos are you still having issues or was it just an outdated source?

i beleive there is some command in terminal that can fix that its like apt-get update (if you can get terminal onto the iDevice through ifunbox or openssh)

My suggestion would be to restore and rejailbreak sounds like it may have missed something
