I don't understand how this would work... You can't exactly edit the iphone's DNS look up like you can with Windows' hosts file... Has anyone successfully tried this? If so, can you explain a bit more?

Does anyone know of a way to activate an iphone without a sim card? I was able to restore it but I don't have a SIM card or access to SIM card carriers either. It was a update and restore so it's on the latest iOS version 8.1.3 I believe. Currently stuck at initial iPhone setup (there is no icloud lock but I just can't activate without SIM)

This latest update doesn't appear to work or show up in my settings. I've done it on previous versions successfully. Am I doing something wrong? iphone 6 8.1.1 Nvm, it was a newly jailbroken device and i just needed to update mobilesubstrate and install pref loader (jfyi for future reference)
