I have the same question.

So as soon as I beat the boss in the final tower, I closed the game. Upon opening the game the rewards were granted, but everything reset in the challenge. Now, upon the reset the challenge now says the difficulty is hard, so is it after the difficult tower this glitch happens? Otherwise, this glitch is patched.

Do you know at what point the cards stop fusing and only give the option to sell?

For some reason I can't reply to the other topic, but it looks like this was patched too. As soon as I went back into the challenge, it completed. I also didn't have the option to sell, but only fuse. Does this change after a certain number of upgrades?

I thinks so, too. Without releasing an update to the game, the only thing they could adjust is the timing, no?
