I hope it is just a software issue. The guy in the video tried his iPhone X, with the latest iOS which was the same as the Xs & Xs Max he tried charging on and it was charging perfectly fine without issues.

Airplane mode,
Disable Security (Fingerprint, Codes, Touch ID, Face ID)
Disable iCloud. 

Reboot iDevice. Try Jailbreaking with Electra Again. 

So, it's increasingly getting reported that the new iPhones, specifically the Xs and Xs Max have several issues (not so sure about the Xr though); mainly associated with the charging. 
People are reporting their iPhones are not charging while in the rest/sleep state even when plugging in the lightning cable but charging when they tap to wake or rise. Some reports have even gone to the extent in the worst case scenario that the phones are still not charging even when active and also freezing. Apple has not yet responded to these issues as of yet.
Also, there have been reports of bad Wifi and Network Signals, not so sure about these ones.

What do you guys think about this situation? Is it worth it, to spend so much and get such bad products even without a quick charge plug?

Ahh, what an amazing journey it has been for this website. A big congratulations to the heads & admins running this magic for as long as it has been.
