It might be server side but at least version 7.3 of HuLu worked flawlessly with skipped commercials on an iPad Pro iOS 12.4 until recently when a forced update ( to 7.22 which I believe is the last under iOS 13 version available ) made the scroll bar not work and the time remaining inaccurate (always shows 0:00) but still skipped 100% of commercials. Look for hulife 0.1 : doesn’t have the annoying on screen box when starting and seems to work as well as version 0.2.
