With recent iOS updates, Apple finally supports Push Notifications for Web Apps (see screenshot above), and we're excited to announce that the iOSGods Community now supports them too!
We've also improved the iOSGods Community by adding a sticky bottom navigation bar, and various other enhancements to give it a native app feel!
💬 What Can You Be Notified About?
Replies to topics you follow (support topics, hack topics, etc)
Notification when someone mentions you in a topic
Notification when someone quotes you in a topic
New private messages & replies
New hacks or topics posted on followed forums
Other community updates
TIP We highly recommend following Forum Announcements so you get notified when we release cool new announcements like this! All the options above are configurable! See below how to configure and enable/disable based on your preferences.
🔔 How to Enable Push Notifications for your Device
Open iOSGods.com in Safari
Tap the Share icon
Select "Add to Home Screen"
Open the new iOSGods icon on your Home Screen
Go to the Notifications menu or Notification Settings
Tap “Enable Push Notifications”
On the popup, tap Allow
⚙️ Customize Your Notification Preferences
Once enabled, we recommend configuring your Notification Settings to receive only the alerts you care about. You can also enable/disable push notifications from notification settings.
We hope you enjoy this new feature and the improvements to the iOSGods Community!
