Help/Support How to bypass the carrier activation in order to use another sim? (iDevice already jailbroken)

Hello there,

as i'm new to these things, i sincerely ask for any permanent or temporary solution in order to use another sim card in my iPhone 4s.

The prices that the carrier intend to charge me for that goes through the roof and i'm trying to find somehow an alternative.

I understand that i might be touching a delicate matter (might be considered piracy at some point, idk, hopefully not) but it's just desperation!

there was an app called SAM from cydia, as far as i know...but sadly i think you're right

SAM doesn't work anymore

Only way is to have it factory unlocked. Unless you used SAM before & backup your activation ticket.

There are online services claiming that they can unlock it but it's not cheap. It varies ~ £100 - £150

You can also go to the place where you bought it and ask your carrier on how to unlock.

i've search a Gevey Ultra S simcard support, that i've seen in tutorials and listed to iphone 4s and supporting up to 8.3.

probably you guys had heard about it. 

i think i'll give it a shot. around 20€...

Go to a repair/service shop before buying anything and get some information on unlocking the device. I'm not sure if those Gevey Sims work anymore.

where i live, repair shoppings stands back when it comes to a iphone 4s, specially when i tell them THE carrier its factory locked on...

 

well, so far the chip is tested on some ios8. that's why i'll give it a shot.
