Jailbreak is required to use DLG or whatever memory editor Igg, gamegem. Whatever works for u. The method is the same as the original post but been playing around trying to get the coins to 999999999 or the 32 bit maximum which is 2147483647 and finally got it. 

First u need the following repo from cydia.

TO DOWNGRADE LONG PRESS THE CLOUD/INSTALL/UPDATE icon.

once installed install the tweak called AppStore++. This allows u to downgrade any iOS apps legally from the App Store. Install version 1.0.41 I believe is the one that’s the version with restore purchases. Follow the jetrixx post (also hit all tabs in your backpack I believe it’s 3 of them backpack, blueprints, talents) to get your coins then just update the app and bam your coins follow. If u login to Facebook this will wipe your coins but if u redownload and play as a guest your coins will reappear on the most recent and current update. Been playing with it all night and finally cashed out.

trying this out to see if it still works and Ive downgraded to the version you mentioned but upon opening the game it will not go to my base just stays on the loading page. gonna be testing the coin hack on the latest version. of 1.2.20
