Why? There is no risk in using it. You can do every quest every episode and anything you will never get stuck. I have tested it by myself

well you cant do chapter 21 with the hacks or you will get stuck, and actually there couple of key items in the future that will work like the music box.

I actually had to restart because I picked up a key item. Also there are some chests that give out key items. Doesn’t bug but still gave me 25.
