Help/Support First ipad factory reset and jailbreak

Hi everybody,

I have an ipad 1 jailbroken but it give s me some problem and i canot add any repository.

My question Is:

May i reset the ipad 1 install the iOS 5.1.1 and then jailbreak it?

If Yes wich Is ghe best way to be done?

5.1.1 is the max iOS version your iPad 1st Generation can go, right?

 

If yes, restore via iTunes and Jailbreak it with Absinthe I think it was?

Yes 5.1.1 Is the last iOS supported...in fact i have to check If its possible nowadays to jailbreak an old device such that, i mean i dont know If today the systems and the Mac can jailbreak it...

Check it but absinthe seems to not work on imac with  10.9.4

No is imac version but when i launch it it closes itself

in the other topic asked me to launch it as administrator

but i am administrator of my mac and there is no option to launch it as admin as on windows...i suppose......

Do you have access to a Windows PC? I have never tested Jailbreak on a Mac.

i solved it 

i post it on the other post so it can be as help for other users

I solved it:

if absinthe doesn't work do this:

 

right click on the icon and choose show contents

then navigate in contents...macos....and right click on absinthe 10-6 and chose launch with terminal

 

done

im trying

another tip:

if the jailbreak button is grey with absinthe launch the mac pressing shift in safe mode and it works

now i jailbreak it
