Help/Support How to correctly sign dylibs using JTool?

Hey all,

Since the whole mess with the substrate update and MSHookMemory, I've been looking into how to make the dylibs work on iOS 11 with the new substrate update in my spare time. I've been working off of my jailbroken iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 11.3.1 on the latest Unc0ver.

So far, what I've tried is extracting the entitlements from both a known good system binary (i.e "ls") as well as the game I am trying to inject the dylib into and using those to sign the dylib. After extracting the entitlements to a file (let's just call it entitlements.ent) and thinning the dylib (if that's possible and I did it correctly), I ran JTool with 

jtool --sign --ent entitlements.ent --inplace [appBinary]

after building the deb with 

dpkg-deb -b [appDir]

I install it. It successfully installs and shows up in game, but I still crash whenever loading any cheats by opening the IGMM and clicking a button or doing any other action. Can someone please guide me as to what I'm doing wrong and/or missing? I'm curious about learning how to get this working again and understanding how tweak injection works.

I haven't found a correct way at the moment. Regardless of how they're signed, they will still crash with the crash logs saying it's codesigning related. I *think* we just need to wait for Unc0ver team to update something considering the same exact dylib works on Unc0ver iOS 12 Jailbreak.

If it crashes upon activating the cheat, that means the hack needs updating for the latest Cydia Substrate.

Ahh gotcha thanks @DiDA! It's weird how it works on iOS 12 but not 11... Thanks for the info! 🙏
