Poor battery life on iPhone 5s

It wasn't that cheap for 3rd party one. I've got background app refresh off. And after I've been using it for a bit I'll put it on charge for the 3rd time today. It heats up very badly at times and I've had the battery checked by an apple rep. It's grinding me down not being able to sort it.

    Since when have you had your iPhone? Any accidental drops or is it just the new iOS version which is causing this Battery issue?

    No I haven't tried that before I'll give it a go ta

    No drops and always a cover on the phone if the I'm at work out. Just since the update it was perfect up until then and previous iPhones have been good

    I've been on lots of advice sites and switched all different settings off I've also done a full reset and then backed up by iCloud

    Has anyone advised to upgrade to iOS 8.4 Beta? What could you lose?
