"End Of Cydia"

Hey guys, i just wanted to see from a group of people what they think about this. There is speculation surrounding the disappearance of saurik, and people are starting to believe its the end of Cydia. Theres a new package installing software called Sileo coming out, seems like its gonna be pretty cool.

Considering Cydia is no longer being updated since iOS 9-10 days, and hasn’t had any noticeable change smade to it over the years, a new replacement is a good thing. I don’t believe Saurik will be updating Cydia, or at least he would have notified us about it somehow. I’m OK wil Sileo as long as the team behind it is serious, just like Saurik was.

Either way, competition is good for the consumers.

Indeed. I'm very well excited for this. New UI, faster interaction, it's going to be a large step in the community.

They say it will do everything Cydia does but better. It’ll be hard to get used to change but if Cydia isn’t getting updated then we have to.

Definitely had a good run though. It was inevitable tbh; all good things must come to an end.

I personally been wondering what this is going to do for my 7+ 10.1.1 jailbreak. Once I made it stable, I never felt the need to update to 11.
