Similar thing happened to me yesterday, but instead of guest, I used FB first, then GC.

It seems they separate those as different accounts.

I clicked FB after restarting the game, and the "missing" FB progress is there.

So I guess you want to try click on that guest account again next? wonder if it still has you guest account
