I have followed the instructions on this for the Infinity Blade III and the process goes well without any errors but when opening the game.. nothing has changed.... my game has not ported from my iPhone... I have 3 games on my old iPhone that are quite full with stuff... I see nothing on my new iPhone with regards to those saved games after this procedure. 

 

Going from iPhone 6s  - IOS 12.1     to   iPhone XR 12.1

Procedure that I followed...

Played a bit and Saved my new game from XR using iMazing..

Saved my old game from 6s using iMazing...

extracted the iMazing file that I saved from the 6s

opened the iMazing file from my XR using winrar

moved / imported the files that i had extracted from my 6s to the winrar XR file that I had opened and clicked yes to overwirte

restored my XR iMazing file back to my XR

opened IB3 and nothing changed other than it asking me to re-login to Facebook, but no saved files were there from the 6s

Why not simply extract Infinity Blade data to .imazingapp from the 6s, then just restore that .imazingapp to the XR? That would copy data over.

Note that every game is different: some store saves in iCloud (optionally), some require a login and verify data to prevent tampering, etc... Not 100% sure how Infinity Blade 3 works. Why the Facebook login for instance? Can you not login at all? Also, do you have iCloud enabled for Infinity Blade? 

Finally, editing the .imazingapp file is possible, but strictly edits: adding or removing files won't work because they aren't referenced in the backup database. To do that kind of more involved work, you need to create an editable backup in iMazing, modify the app domain in the editable backup (including adding/removing files), then export to .imazingapp by drag and dropping the app from the editable backup to your desktop.

I figured I would follow the instructions and thought that the .imazingapp data was correspondent to the iPhone you pulled it out from and could not be interchangeable, nevertheless I tried your suggestion and used the .imazingapp from the 6s and restored it to the XR. As expected none of my game saves were transferred. Is it possible that something changed in IOS 12.1 ? because I have heard this works in IOS 11 and did it this myself when I first started to play 6 months back. To answer some of your questions, Facebook most likely is because I was logged in fro my original save, so I assume it moved over as well, I can login with my game tag and play, its just none of my 3 character saved games are there. 

On a side note... I have verified that the 6s .imazingapp backup is good and has the game saves, I deleted my game on the 6s and used the .imazingapp file and it restored the saved games.
