Help/Support "there was a problem parsing the package" when installing apk after modding Assembly-CSharp.dll.

oh yes , decompiling properly makes a folder which reflector can detect

YEaup but if a game got splash, i dont decompile.. I only decompile apk to add toast and ofc if there's any cheat detectors in smali

you do not need to do that

@0utlaw_ Bro, Put all dlls into reflector not only the csharp, after modifying replace it with the old csharp..rename it you did all that right, unfortunately oneclick signer is not signing properly anymore, find some other apk signer and sign it... you can use zip signer but not after signing it from one click signer...

So whats wrong in doing it? Jeezzz dont be an smartass. If he wants to really avoid this kind of issue why cant he use the proper way of decompiling, recompiling and signing it?

Guys thanks to every single one of you for your help. But everyone was arguing lol, let me get this straight. I extracted the zip file before doing anything, also with the original method i did in which i added to .zip and replaced with .apk, zip signer did not work, i tried also other signing mods inside the app. So from what i read here i have to decompile and compile the csharp with apktool and then sign it with zip signer? I remember apk tool had some signing options too. Sorry if i sound noob i have no idea how to use apk tool, only reflector and reflexiv. Also one more problem. When i finish modifying csharp, i save it and when i open it, most functions give the error "ambigous match found". Whats the workaround for this? There are no .dlls with the exact name. Thanks again for all your answers

Download and install ADB on your pc. Download apktool then copy its files into ADB directory. Put the apk you want to mod into ADB directory. Open command prompt on the directory by pressing Shift + right click then type this commands:

For decompiling - apktool d -f -r nameoftheapp.apk

For recompiling - apktool b nameofthefolder

For signing - just use zipsigner on your device

Thank you for the reply. The command prompt tells me it doesn't recognise 'apktool' keyword, and told me to use '.\apktool' instead. I did that, and tells me it is unable to access the jarfile. I got java installed. I got all the requierments, and followed all the steps. I may think, isn't it easier to use Lucky Patcher and create a custom patch that just replaces the hex codes? It works and its faster i guess...whats the advantage of using this method instead?

The problem is that i wanna be able to see the original C# code changed through Reflexil to make sure the change i did in Reflexil was good, but before i can see the modified code i have to save the file, and .NET Reflector can't make the difference between "Assembly-CSharp.dll" and "Assembly-CSharp.Patched.dll", so when i open the modded assembly i can't open functions cause it mismatches them with the original assembly ones, but i can still see the IL code. I even tried other names for the patched one, and some other basic fixes. It may be a bug, but i can't determine why it does this, i can't find any info in any forum about this, and no one answers me about this problem.

Also Lucky Patcher basically creates a new .apk file with the patch applied to it (i guess it signs it automatically) that you have to install over the original game.

Which method do you think is better, in which ways does adb help the process of modding (like higher chances of success/more possibilities) other than decompiling and recompiling? Whats your opinion about the possible bug mentioned?
