Anyone on iPhone 7 knows the struggle of getting Extra_Recipe to jailbreak your device. It usually takes 1-8 tries but with this method it usually always works first time but i also have a backup method.

Method 1:

Before opening Extra_Recipe turn your phone on airplane mode, then open Extra_Recipe and click go.

Method 2:

Hard Reboot (Hold down Power + Volume Down button until the apple screen appears)  your phone and turn on airplane mode, then swipe up Extra_Recipe if it is open in multitasking and reopen it and click go.

If both of these methods don't work after a couple tries comment below your IOS version and i'll try helping you fix it (y)

I'm on try number 20. It's never taken this long. Any other suggestions? I'm on 10.1.

Thank you,

That has never happened to me before, it usually works in the first couple tries. Maybe stop trying and retry tomorrow? That can help. Are you swiping up extra_recipe from multi tasking when you retry on airplane mode?

your trick is great and it usually helps but not always

When i first discovered the trick elsewhere, it helped me immediately.

I thought I found a one-off solution so that i'd have no more worry when restarting my device.

Unfortunately, later, I have been in the same situation two times till now.

And the real deal is this trick with "retry tomorrow".

My experience is if you fail few times (like 5), you are very likely not going to succeed on that day.

Have a sleep, try that the next day.

And it works like a charm.

Obviously only by luck is not my goal.

And it's terrible when jailbreak-detection apps installed.

(You can't use them unless re jailbreak)

My thought is there is a critical step difference and i'm still finding.

One more suggestion:

when you try jailbreak the next day, restart the WHOLE process

uninstall yalu > install yalu via cydia inspector > the trick above

(though airplane not helped me but worth a try)

Question:

any way to re-jailbreak without computer
