For those of you saying this isnt working, i can see you are all on 32bit devices. Are you trying to load a x64 only hack and playing the game as if you do that it will always crash.

yes it is. raider skips give you coins, paying for energy gives you coins, buying petrol in the shop gives you coins. 

Coins however do not get credited for skipping things such as recycler items etc.

The hack is for both x64 and x32. However, the fine print on the first post says that for the 1.8.4 update x32 support will be coming in a few hours (14 hours ago).  Hopefully that will fix the issues.

In the meantime, @Shillizzle mentioned using Appadmin to load game version 1.8.3 back on and that has got the duplicating items hack working at least.
