Damn. I didn't do this, and now it's making me start from scratch. I still have my LVL 60 save on my iphone (I regular update on that one), but can't seem to get it to transfer to iPad (where non-JB .ipa is).

ah i forgot i was in the non-jb mod, i use this one because the jb md crashes my phone, no filza doesnt work for non-jb, but you can get an app for your computer, like ifunbox or something that lets you browse your iphones content in a similar way

ah darn, i think if you download the normal unhacked app and connect to gamecenter it would let you restore progress right?  try that then after its restored copy the files. Or If your iPad isn't jailbroken then try one of the computer programs that you can get for browsing and transferring files. I used to use ifunbox but I think it's pretty outdated now.
