If you do not have a chopper and have spike traps just kill yourself on the spikes and respawn. Another way is to close out the game completely and choose to spawn at your home. This happens due to one of the hacks that is enabled on the non-jail broken version, in which this is not a bug just a feature that is enabled. If you have your phone jailbroken you would be able to turn this off. Hope this helps
