I tried and did all the steps but the backup software kept failing with Error 1 on my iPhone7 Plus Version 11.2.6, I disabled the find my iphone, and i clould backup, I uninstalled Itunes to make sure its not keeping it busy, tried on a different machine all same error... So unfortunately still not working..

I have updated the backup with the backup software, so now I will try to use iTunes to restore the image with updated version of file and will keep you updated..
