Boot Loop.

A different kind of boot loop perhaps. I went to setting and tap on Erase All Content and Settings on my jailbroken iPad Air (iOS 8.4, A1475). And then a loading screen came up on my iPad (like the one when restoring an Apple device). Then, my iPad froze (it freeze suddenly, bricked) and an Apple logo pop up, won't go away (actually it does, the iPad keeps rebooting until I longly press the volume up button which freezes the iPad with the Apple logo  and the process of rebooting repeat when I hard reset it). It's been like this for quite a while, 48+ hours. I've tried hard resetting it and restoring it but iTunes replies error 3124. I then fix the host file (not the pro way, just copy pasting stuff) and when I restore the iPad again, it return Error 3600.

P.S. It's a different boot loop becuz the solutions/fixes listed for "boot loop" on YouTube (hard resetting and restoring) or the first few websites in Google results doesn't work for me.

LOL, you aren't very smart are you?

Well if you want to fix it, plug your device into your computer with the cable then put it into DFU Mode (Recovery Mode) by holding the sleep button for 15 seconds then hold the home button for another 10 or so until it restarts then keep holding the home button only for 5 seconds. It should pop-up in iTunes as in 'Recovery Mode'. Once it has click restore and what for the latest iOS version to download. Once it has restore the device and it should be back to normal (reset). If you have a computer or iCloud Backup you can use that to get some of your stuff back easily.

Hope it helps fix it!   (y)

Hi aussie,

Thank you for replying me with a solution. I appreciate it but would appreciate it even more if ur solution wasn't like the ones I have found on YouTube or even if I haven't tried ur solution yet. I did mention tht I have tried restoring it with iTunes (although I forgot to mention tht I did it after putting it in recovery mode).

Pls feel free to tell me any other solution tht u know but I haven't tried yet.

Yeah I thought it was going to be similar but that is what you are meant to do if you don't have access to the device.

So were you able to get it into recovery mode and restore it or not?

My friend did the same yesterday but he instead installed a tweak that wasn't compatible with his iOS version or something so he got stuck in a boot loop but I just told him to put it in recovery mode and click restore on iTunes and then he downloaded the latests iOS version through iTunes and restored.

You could or they could have just restored it, well I guess at least you got a brand new device for nothing.
