New update: I found out that the fall event and halloween events are basically still doable, downgrading to 1.4.8 has worked for me for the fall event. Downgrading to 1.5.2 worked for halloween event. I have tried the in between versions, in those they say that the events ended. 1st year anniversary event is not playable despite downgrading, the fishes are available from Lucky Shell.

Update: i managed to get it to work by downgrading the app to version 1.4.8 AND 1.4.3. However I can only spin wheels for free without the -999999pearl trick to work

I unfortunately am not jailbroken anymore so I don't know how to help you but if anything I'd just wait for the discount to end.
