I thought I'd update my 'guide' to using the hack to prevent people from being reported/banned:

Weekend Events: Set yourself to "Deploy Anywhere", start a Z15 battle and deploy a bot that can survive long enough to get within attacking distance of the HQ and immediately start your ranged attack. Depending on the attack type, you might need to wait a second or so before you then toggle on the "One Hit Kill" option. What this will do is let that ranged attack (EG Jazz/Mixmaster missile) to finally land and hit the HQ for a one hit kill. Your solo bot will have died by then but as long as your missile is released, you are OK. This gets harder for bots like most warriors. This is when you pair them up with the minibot Lionizer/Catgut and then DEPLOY directly next to that base, toggle the "One Hit Kill" and your minibot will destroy the base. Also let people think that you are a coiner so your sudden and meteoric Alliance event scores are explained by your $$. NOTE: Weekend event battles are NOT MONITORED or RECORDED so you can just do lots of one bot/one hit kills to rack up the XP for your nominated bot. Pair up those bots which cannot do a fast enough ranged ability attack like healers with bots like Warpath/Skullsmasher, Elita-1/Lugnut for fast duo wins.

Raids: Only do the cheat within an alliance if you are known to have a really strong raid team as otherwise you will be caught out for doing so well. If you are desperate to get Shanix then just create two more accounts and have all three accounts temporarily join an alliance together and smash out the 15 Raid bases (on Hard) to get the 3000 Shanix and then pop back to your regular Alliance. FYI, Warpath/Skullsmasher is the recommended bot for Raids as the special ability can reach far to destroy those shield generators. I generally use my 2/3/4/5*s of this bot to fast clear the raid bases.
If you are nervous about doing whole base kills then load up a team with a 2* Warpath/Skullsmasher, Scattershot/Leozack, Strafe/Thrust, Slash/Rippersnapper and Sentius M at the very least to chew up large ares of the base (as if you worked hard on destroying that quarter or half of a base) and use Warpath/Skullsmasher to clear up any of those walls a bit to make it look authentic.

Normal Event Battles: Set yourself to "Unlimited Mana" and select a NORMAL team that you would use and just play the battle as your would normally do (except you will have access to a lot more Ability Points to give you a greater chance of a win). DO NOT use "One Hit Kills" here as it is a reviewable battle and you can get reported.

Wars: Similar to a Normal Event Battles except you put on your BEST (or most war appropriate team) and really try to make it look like you do not have unlimited AP when you fight. IE do not use Warpath/Skullsmasher 6 times at the start of the match (4 is ok) etc. The point is to win the game as if you are not a hacker. If you are really desperate and your guys are just about to defeat the HQ but it looks to be a bit 50/50, you might want to risk the "One Hit Kill" at that point as with most replays, the person reviewing it might think that your sudden win was a replay glitch. Please note once again that this is AT YOUR OWN RISK as you do not want to be tagged as a hacker and kicked from the alliance or game.

Elimination battles: Similar to Normal Event Battles, just make it look convincing.

General Tips:
1. Never upgrade certain types of 2* bots beyond level 10. This includes Warpath/Skullsmasher and most aerial bots. This is because when you are rushing to mass clear a Raid base (or even using a sequence of bots to just clear weekend event bases), the timeout for these bots is <2 mins so you can just roll over four of these bots over and over with little/no time out issues. FYI Aerial bots are great as you can just deploy that 2* lv 10 bot up near (but far from defenses) the HQ and then immediately launch your attack. Because they fly, they do not pick up and outpost bots on the way up to the Base and you save time because it is so direct.

2. If you have a lot of bots that need a second bot to help them 'one shot' the base during weekend events, you can consider using a combiner, mixed in with your 'hard to cheat with' bot like a healer and just use the combiner to destroy the HQ. I tend to do this if I use a Combiner for a war on the weekend

3. Using XP cores is great, there is a lot of material out on how to power level and with your ability to one shot Z15 bases, this should make life a lot easier to level up.

4. 'No Cooldown for Bots' is a function that will cause a CRASH if you use it in a battle. HOWEVER, it is really useful if you want to move and manage teams around as you can actually select bots on cool down.

@Rook SpaceApe (The developers) have just kicked off the mandatory upgrade flag on the game so we now all need to upgrade to 15.4. Any idea of when the new patch is out?
