i think it would've been savable if you were logged into game center, i was quite far in my game, to the point i paid money for a character, got banned this morning and lost everything. i followed a tutorial on how to get unbanned, it said to log out of game center, yet i wasnt even logged into mine. did the whole process and i go to play it this afternoon and everything is gone, so im not sure if being logged into it, having all your progress saved, signing out and logging back in after unbanning yourself wouldve helped or not.
