My coins are not going up. In fact I haven't got any winning line in the past 5 minutes. I think they found a patch. Anyone?

you need to follow someone and then you will start getting followers agin, so take off the path and run out of free spins tell you follow at lest 1 person and you'll get coins agin :-)
