Hey,

 

So i am trying IDA with android for the first time , all i need to know right now is that how do i identify which binary file is to be loaded in IDA . is it one of those lib.so and if it is which one specifically

Android lib folder has gain 2 folder from that there a folder name x86 which you don't touch. open up the another one.The file largest in that folder is what should be modified

Its better if you delete that file

 

So if you install the APK in x86 device, it will load armv7 folder which the one you will be modding.

Ok , i digged up deep , can you just confirm if just like ios , its the largest .so file in lib forlder ?

Its better to keep both the files for no errors and mod the Armv7 only . And choose the largest .so file in some cases its size may be different .☺

Anything to be done to processor or just load .so as it is in IDA ?

If you keep x86 folder, the mod wont work in x86 devices

I open it as MetaPC but you can use ARM. Also choose the .so that makes sense, sometimes biggest ones arent the one you are looking for but usually its the largest size

Select processor as Arm little endian and set it them click load resources and then press ok and you are good to go.
