Edit: It's a bit buggy/there is some lag with the App-- which will get fixed in an update I believe. You have to wait a little time after pressing the record button for the recording to start-- you'll see like 00 or whatever time and then when you go back to home screen there will be a red bar on top.  I got it to record a 2:20 second video easily and could have gone longer.
