How to disable everything on my lockscreen except for battery, and still keep everything shown on Springboard and in apps?

To keep messages from prying eyes, open

Settings/Notifications/Messages.

Turn off Show Preview to hide the text from view.

I'm jailbroken and running on iOS 10.2. Those tweaks I think is still not compatible with the jailbreak I'm using right now. Thank you though.
