Help, my other iPhone 5s got stuck in a bootloop. I haven't installed AppSync or anything and nothing seems to get it to work again. I tried holding the volume up button and waited for about 5 minutes and still nothing. Anything would be greatly appreciated right now.

Thanks but I never installed AppSync, I followed this http://www.iphonehacks.com/2016/07/fix-failed-in-buffer_writefd-8-ret-1-cydia-error-when-installing-packages.html which lead me into the loop. I also never installed OpenSSH on the phone either. It used to show just a loading symbol but then it turned into the Apple logo and has not progressed from there :(.

restore your iPhone :(

No, there's a way easier way to fix this. All you need to do is go into Find my iPhone on iCloud, and erase your device from there. Your jailbreak will be removed, however you will still be on the same iOS version so you can just rejailbreak!

Could I do this without a WI-FI connection?

Darn, it's in a bootloop with no way to access anything. It only pops up with my phone on the computer sometimes but I don't see that of any use. Does this mean the end?

This probably means the end of your jailbreak, try to hard restart and break the boot loop, even try letting your phone die then plug it in. If all else fails just restore Updated by Doyo
