Help/Support i cant restore/update with itunes

since my ipad got messed up im trying to restore it with itunes but it doesnt work any ideas?

just downloaded itunes its the latest version

use dfu mode

 

1) Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.

2) Turn off the device.

3) Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

4) Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.

5) Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.

6) After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

 

 

NOTE: You wont see charging/apple/connect to itunes while in this mode

If so, download 10.2 from ipsw.me (Match your device carefully)

 

Press shift and click restore.

 

Find your downloaded firmware and restore with that

Note that DFU mode cant be broken. Its hard-coded into your device (as in BURNED into the hardware). So whatever you did cant break it.

Restore via iTunes to 10.2.1 THEN downgrade.
