Yes I already tried all of that, I found those tips too. Used on both Windows and OS X neither worked. Instead of showing iPhone as identifier though it just shows an ? which signifies it doesn't recognize the device. I'm wondering if it's because it's an iPhone 8 Plus that hasn't been supported yet. I have had no problems getting it to work previously on a 7 Plus.
