Help/Support What happens to JB apps if you Upgrade?

After reading a topic below by someone asking if they should upgrade to 10.1.1 from Apple... i wondered if i should too. Especially if there may be a JB to 10.1.1 coming.

 

i am on 8.4 JB but there are apps i've wanted to play that require 9.0+!

 

i'm actually okay losing my current JB for awhile.... but!... i want to know what happens to JB apps on my phone if i update.

 

Like does Cydia disappear? Filza? GamePlayer? or do they stay on my phone and just become worthless/non-functional?

 

What happens to games that i've applied tweaks too? Will the effects of the tweaks "stay" if i'm no longer JB? Many seem to stay just fine when i delete the deb file thingies from Cydia. So if i upgrade to a non-JB version of the Apple OS will like tweaked gems/diamonds in games stay?

 

What about apps i've gotten from AppCake instead of the official AppStore? Do those disappear? or will they stay?

 

Sorry if these are dumb questions. Doing a JB to my 8.4 OS was the first time i did it. so i've mever done an upgrade since and am unsure what happens if i do.

can i ask why you say to stay JB? is it because a JB for 10.1.1 is not guaranteed? or is there another reason why you wouldn't upgrade?

Upgrade to 10.1.1 while you can, before they stop signing it. It will be worth it, I'm sure.
