Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem I'm having.

I'm trying to send the same SMS to about 15 numbers. However, when you group them the iPhone attempts to send it as an MMS. In the UK MMS is a chargeable message. Hence, I was wondering, how can I send it as a 'group' SMS where its sending to each number individually without me having to manually do this.

Is there any tweak possible to do this?

Many Thanks!

Is the "Group Messaging" on and "MMS Messaging" off in the Setting => Messages?

Also, when you make new message, did you enter the plus button, and it will shows the contacts?

@@DiDA unfortunately this won't be possible. You see, by texting these numbers I rack up 'international minutes'. There are about 60 numbers I can send to. To manually input each number and send it off 60x...  :whistling:  I would like to do this frequently as well, so to constantly go between different chats aha. Would be better if it was just one message I had and could send it off to 60 numbers at once.

@@Amuyea Yes, MMS is off. However, I don't see a 'Group Messaging' option in my settings via Setting > Messages?

If one of those people doesn't have an Apple product, or one of them has iMessage off, you'll only be able to send them as SMS to everyone in the group chat and not iMessage.

iPhone 5s, 32GB iOS 8.1. Unfortunately, none of these numbers are on WhatsApp. They are all SMS numbers. For every SMS I send, I get 1 international minute. I was trying to make this convenient by grouping the numbers, but this makes it into an MMS which is chargeable. Hence, I was hoping for some tweak where it will group but send off each text individually? Without making it into MMS.

Thanks Klepto, however none of these numbers are iMessage or Apple devices. These are all SMS numbers.

Their numbers don't have to be on any of the messaging apps on the AppStore. They'll need your new number which you get from the app but that's about it

@@Klepto Getting confused buddy. The recipient numbers are all SMS numbers, but they are also 'non-existent' i.e A company is controlling them I suppose. Could you explain again how I could group the SMS numbers into one chat without iPhone treating it as an MMS?

I'm not used to using messaging apps but what you can do is:

1. Find a messaging app that allows groups chats

2. Add their numbers to your group chat

3. Send the message

As long as they're numbers that are reachable, the messaging app should be able to send them the message.
