You guys already know that Jailbreaking your device allows you to install third party apps, tweaks and other stuff that Apple does not allow you to install.

Security and simple are Apples biggest seilling points so, they don't want you to tweak icons, hack games etc But you pay for device, it's yours, you own it and you can do anything what you want.

Let's get into the real stuff What is Jailbreaking?

It just change /private/etc/fstab from read-only to read-write and that sound easy.but Apple use a lot of security features to stop jailbreak to reach and change read-only to read-write.For example: 1-Bootrom also known as securerom, 2-iboot(BootLoader), 3- kernel, 4- sandbox.

They all does the same function verifying everything like signatures are signed by Apple or not and blocks user to access the root files.

Jailbreaker developers make exploit and use them to bypass Apple security and patch /private/etc/fstab. That why teams like pangu, taig etc takes a lot of time to create and release jailbreak.

Jailbreak is safe (until you install viruse stuff)

Jailbreak is legal.

I think you guys know everything now ;)
