My suggestion is to avoid free VPN because they're not reliable as they slow down the speed of internet and IPs that are provided by free VPNs are mostly blacklisted. Now come to the point; nowadays there are tons of VPN providers in the market.
I am personally using ExpressVPN for all my devices as it is the fastest and reliable VPN out there. Check out  this resource where some the fastest VPNs are mention:  https://www.reviewsdir.com/fastest-vpn-services/

Free VPNs is grey area, they don't add much to your security, have ads running, which means they are selling user data, this voids the main concern of using a VPN user, or if a free VPN is good enough, then it might have slow servers which eats up your internet Bandwidth. It is always better to invest into a Paid fast VPN with affordable pricing without compromising on speed, feature and security.
