It works

Using my water mon fight against fire mons but can't kill them, but they always 1hit me instead.

 

You must have really weak monsters or low level ones, the hack doesn't give you extra hp.

If you rune all your monsters with health and defense runes and with the hack you should go far. Even with low quality mons
