I wanted to organize the names of my apps in the application folder of ifile. So I changed the long names composed of numbers and letters to the apps actual name. I later had to respring my device for a separate reason and once I did that, most of my apps were gone. The only apps left are the ones I didn't change the names of.

yeah, dont change the names

i guess the only way to fix it is to rename them manually, which may not even work. you could also delete the folder and reinstall

You shouldn't have changed the names of those app folder. They're still installed on your iDevice but they won't appear on your springboard.

When you open the App Store, do those apps still appear as installed?

They don't appear as installed in the App Store. So is reinstalling the only option?

Yes unless you remember their previous folder names. :3

I think the folder names should be stored somewhere also but I dunno where... :3

But reinstalling is a good option for now. Just backup documents of the renamed folders and delete the old folders then install the apps from AppStore and don't rename app folders but use Filza instead.

The file naming issue has a simple fix. Enable Application Names by going to Preferences > File Manager > Application Names. Simple enough.

Yes, if you're on iOS 7. :)

iOS 8 has changed the location of them: http://iosgods.com/topic/2250-read-ios-8-app-applications-folder-location/

iFile partially supports them but Filza fully does.
