Android APK Installation Questions

Why do I get "App not installed" or "Application not installed" on Android?

The App not installed error usually happens when Android cannot install the APK on your device. This can happen for several reasons:

• The original Play Store version is already installed. Uninstall the Play Store version first, then install our version.
• The app signatures do not match. Android does not allow one APK to overwrite another APK if both versions were signed differently.
• You downloaded the wrong APK for your device. Some apps require ARM64, a specific Android version, or a specific APK format.
• Your device does not have enough storage space. Free up storage and try installing again.
• The APK file is incomplete or corrupted. Delete the file, download it again, and try installing once more.
• The app requires a newer Android version. If your Android version is too old, the app may not install.
• The app is a split APK, XAPK, APKM, or APKS file. These formats may require a special installer instead of the default Android package installer.

Can I install an iOSGods Android app over the Play Store version?

In most cases, no. You usually need to uninstall the original Play Store version first because our version and the Play Store version are signed differently.

Please note that uninstalling the Play Store version may remove local save data if the game does not sync progress online. Make sure your progress is linked to Facebook, email, transfer code, or another supported login method before uninstalling.

Why does Android say the package conflicts with an existing package?

This means another version of the same Android app is already installed on your device. Uninstall the existing version first, then install the APK again.

If you have a cloned app, duplicate app, old version, or modified version installed, remove that too before trying again.

How do I allow Android to install APK files from unknown sources?

When opening an APK file, Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser, downloads app, or file manager.

You can usually enable this permission here:

Do I need root to install Android apps from iOSGods?

If the download is provided as XAPK, APKM, APKS, or split APK, you may need to use an installer that supports those formats. The default Android package installer may not be able to install them correctly.

Why does the APK install but the app crashes right away?

This can happen when required split APKs, OBB files, or data files are missing. It can also happen if you installed the wrong version for your Android device.

Android Device Compatibility Questions

Which Android app version should I download?

Always read the app topic before downloading. Some Android apps include multiple downloads for different Android versions, CPU architectures, or installation methods.

If you are unsure, most modern Android phones and tablets use ARM64.

What is ARM, ARM64, x86, or x86_64 on Android?

These terms refer to your Android device CPU architecture:

• ARM64: Most modern Android phones and tablets.
• ARM: Older Android devices.
• x86 / x86_64: Usually Android emulators or some older Intel based Android devices.

If an Android app was made for ARM64 and your device is x86, the app or some features may not work correctly.

Do I still need to know if my Android device uses Adreno, Mali, PowerVR, or Tegra?

Why is Google login not working in an Android app?

What should I do if Play Protect blocks the install?

What is an OBB file on Android?

An OBB file contains extra game data. Some Android games need OBB or data files in addition to the APK.

Where do I place OBB files on Android?

OBB files usually go here:

For example, if the package name is com.example.game, the OBB folder should usually be:

Why can't I access the Android/data or Android/obb folder?
