Xarold and HackYourIPhone

So doing some researching I found a Reddit post claiming that Xarold and HackYourIPhone are putting a Malicious File called unflod.dylib inside the users jailbroken devices

I know a lot of people here have these repos or atleast know about them from being around the JB scene so long

Me, myself do not know what to think about the guys evidence on reddit it seems like a good argument but you also have to think these are HUGE repos with a reputation why would somebody like that put everything on the line for a few GC passwords and apple passwords?

So what do you guys think? I've done said what I thought of it

Do you guys think Xarold and HackYourIPhone are malicious or is it just a paranoid jailbreak user?

Unless they're seeing that jail breaking might end in the near future so they're like f*** it, get the most out of it lol

Xarold has user submissions, but only trusted users can submit.

What does unflod.dylib do?

Also, note than on /r/Jailbreak piracy isn't allowed so this might be a nice rumour to spread to keep people away from pirate repos.

They say unflod.dylib is a password keylogger it gets your apple password and Gamecenter password

I feel like it's just a rumor but another half of me wonders what if it's not?

Nobody has reported of this unflod.dylib so far. First time I hear about it.

First time I heard of it aswell might just be a rumor like you said trying to stop people from pirating tweaks

I checked the reddit. most topics about it, are from 2 years ago. I checked my phone (I have HYI Repo and some tweaks installed from there) and there is no file named like that. I dont think it is true most likely a rumour.

Yeah most likely a rumor to try and stop some of the people who download pirated tweaks
