theos error: bad interpreter

i am getting an error that reads /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: No such file or directory when i try to do /var/theos/bin/nic.pl please help :(

That is because perl got an update and that you need to put it at the right spot so theos can read it. I will link you a vid explaining how to fix that :)
