Help/Support HELP: How to change font size in MTerminal/iOS Terminal?

I don't think you can. There's no option to do so on iOS Terminal.

Hi Vegito,

If you mean the MTerminal app by lordscotland that is available on Cydia store, then yes there is a way to change the font size.

1. Create an empty text file (If you are using Windows OS then open notepad)

2. Add the following text to that open empty file

<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>fontSize</key>
<string>20</string>
</dict>
</plist>

3. Save the file as com.officialscheduler.mterminal.plist

4. Import the file into your iOS device using a utility program such as itools, ifunbox, etc. You need to import it into

/var/mobile/Library/Preferences

which you can find under File System - Jailbreak FileSystem

5. Reboot the iOS device, i.e. turn off the iOS device and then turn back on again, otherwise it wont show the changes in MTerminal.

6. Open up MTerminal and you should now see the font size has increased to twice the size and is now easier to read.

You can also change several other settings by adding similar script to the com.officialscheduler.mterminal.plist file, such as font name, font color, etc, but I guess the default settings are ok for those. For more info look at the author's notes on the Cydia installer page for MTerminal

One thing I cannot get to work is the text helper, where it offers a choice of words to use as you type, for example if you type e, then it offers a choice of "e", even or every, but if I select any of those, all I get at the cursor is some empty space, so it is either not working properly or I am not using that function correctly I will have to email lordscotland about that.
