When trying to run gdb in terminal I get: illegal instruction 4, and yes I am running it from the radare repo....

Did it work before?

no. And i heard about lldb, but a few questions. I dont need to plug in my ipad if its working for linux right? And also is lldb just on the computer?

I have never tried it on a Linux Machine.

 

lldb, just like gdb, both are on your device. When you run them, you run them from your device.

 

They're located in:

 

/usr/bin/debugserver

/usr/bin/gdb

Try to downgrade your FW, I know "illegal instructions" occurred for a few tools (such as LLDB) after a update in 2014.

Hope it works out for you.
