Introducing CoolAlert

Alerts are one of the most common things an app shows, and one of the least loved. The system alert works, but it looks the same in every app and does very little.

So I built CoolAlert, an open-source Swift package for beautiful, animated alerts on iOS.

CoolAlert.success("Payment sent", "€42.00 is on its way to Alex.")

That's the whole integration. A card springs in, a colored badge pops, and its checkmark draws itself. You don't need to keep a reference, because the alert manages its own lifetime.

A chain to customize

For anything more, build the alert step by step:

CoolAlert(.warning, "Delete 12 photos?", "They'll be removed from all your devices.")
    .button("Delete", role: .destructive) { deletePhotos() }
    .closeButton("Cancel")
    .show()

There are nine styles: success, error, warning, info, notice, question, edit, wait and custom. Each has its own color and an animated icon.

It includes:

- text fields with icons
- progress rings
- timeouts with a countdown
- swipe to dismiss
- queueing
- a Liquid Glass card on iOS 26
- a SwiftUI modifier

Try it

CoolAlert supports iOS 13+ and is free and MIT-licensed. Add it with Swift Package Manager:

The repo includes a demo app with every feature, and a test suite that drives real alerts on a simulator. Issues and pull requests are welcome.
