Help/Support Epic - Kids' Books & Reading crashing when selecting a profile

Hi, on startup everytime i select a profile the app crashes and i also can’t logout of the profile to try logging in again to switch accounts as the button is not responsive. Anyone knows any fixes to get to use the app?

First of all, I would try to restart the ipad and try again, if that doesn’t work, go to Settings>General>Storage and check if you have enough space, I would recommend atleast 5 GB. If it still doesn’t work, then try deleting the app, and installing it again (from the source again, not from the installed .ipa file you have because it might be corrupted). The crash happens to happen around HLSDownloadManager / OfflineManager.

Tried to clear my space but it still doesn’t work. The original app from app store works fine but this always crashes when i try to select a profile. When you say from the source do you mean by pressing the install button in the app? Because i always just install manually since i’m using trollstore.

The official app works fine, so your Epic account is 100% safe the modded IPA itself is just broken.

When you select your profile, the mod tries to load Epic's video download manager and hits a major error.

The crash log shows: objc_exception_throw and SIGABRT, which means the app ran into an impossible glitch, panicked, and forced a self-destruct sequence back to your Home Screen.

Think of it like: selecting your character and the game immediately rage-quits because the next map file is missing.

This is why wiping storage didn't help and why the Logout button is a dead ghost control, the modded app is completely frozen mid boot because its code is corrupted.
