The real problem for iFile not showing up is CYDIA SUBSTRATE.

If you remove CYDIA SUBSTRATE then ifile icon will show up for sure.

Then maybe you can reinstall it.

Edit : I installed iFile from the cydia source mentined in the tutorial .

Check the Pangu app and see if it displays iFile and its dependancies as installed?

I'm not sure but maybe Filza works on iOS8?

Do some research before installing it, it might brick your phone.
