Been snooping around a bit and found out that people managed to exploit the medal-system to give themselves medals. 
Linking the post where Nexon talks about it below. 

Other then that i have not found anything, will start reversing the android application today.
Was a long time ago i did any Maplestory reversing and knowing how Nexon handles security on the MS PC-client nowadays, I'm not having any high hopes.
